Short shifter SAAB 900 NG, 9-3, 9-5

Short shifter from Properfekt dedicated as a direct replacement for SAAB models:

•     900 NG (year 94-98)
•     9-3 (year 99-02)
•     9-5 (year 99-09)

The short shifter kit is designed to reduce shift throws and improve shifting precision. It replaces the factory plastic joint with a specially designed steel spherical bearing. This bearing allows sufficient angular movement of the shaft to eliminate backlash at extreme positions. Gear lever travel has been reduced from 130 mm to 85 mm.

The height of the lever is the same as OEM, as is the functionality of putting the gear in reverse. The saab 9-5 short shifter has a serial thread for mounting the factory shift knob. The kit does not require making any adjustments made under the hood.

Properfekt's short shifter works with both LHD and also RHD cars.

In order to install you must modify the base of gear lever box by cutting circle shape over the square opening. Die
grinder will do the trick.
